Binary package hint: cups
When I plugged in the HP LaserJet 1020 printer, Ubuntu reported that
everything was OK and printer was ready, but when trying to print a test
page, there was an error and I went through the debugging procedure,
after which it reported no obvious bug was found.
I would have expected some kind of test page to print (event the Self-
Test page does not print, although in that case there is no error
reported in Ubuntu), but nothing at all happened. I did look through
the error log, and found this line:
E [23/Sep/2010:08:39:00 +0200] [Job 90] Job stopped due to filter
errors; please consult the error_log file for details.
But I did not find any further details in the error log.
P.S. This is my first time reporting a bug, and I apologize in advance
if my ignorance is wasting someone else's time...
