Public bug reported:
I boot on Maverick Beta1 Live CD, and choose "Try".
After some times, I'm proposed to install NVidia proprietary driver.
The one proposed is "NVDIA accelerated graphics driver (version current)".
I choose to activate.
"Downloading and loading software" window is displayed.
Then error message "Failed to fetch
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/n/nvidia-settings/nvidia-settings_256.35-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb
404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.31 80]".
With Firefox, I can reach
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/n/nvidia-settings/, but instead of
finding 256.35, I find 256.53.
>From this page I download nvidia-settings_256.53-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb. But don't

In Synaptic, proposed version is 256.35 and can not be installed. Same
problem.
I'm working a lot in Answer part of Launchpad on installation issues,
and will propose to users to switch to proprietary driver to try to
solve graphic issues. So I have a big problem. Perhaps it's simply "3"
and "5" which are inverted.
