I have the same problem. When i hit shutdown button, the splahscreen
appears for aprox 1 second then the scree turns black but the hdd is
still running (i've waited for 10 minutes but it dows not properly stop
nor i can access the console with ctrl-alt-F1 or something). I have
discovered that this problem happens mostly when the laptop is in
docking station.
