Thanks for your bugreport.
I think you are hit by the problem that the logic behind update-notifier is no
longer easy to understand.
The rules are basicly:
- autoopen on security updates (there are none explictely on maverick yet)
- auto-open after 7 days *if* no other updates happend since
You can run "update-notifier --debug-updates" to get debug output about
why its not comming up.
