Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wireshark

1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10

2) apt-cache policy wireshark
wireshark:
  Installed: 1.2.10-2
  Candidate: 1.2.10-2
  Version table:
 *** 1.2.10-2 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) Thank you for reading this. What was expected to happen is when one
starts Wireshark, then clicks interface List, statistics of the ethernet
connected interface would show statistics.

4) What happened instead a windows pops open but nothing happens. I am
new to Ubuntu Linux and at this time do not have the facilities to
further contribute other than making this bug. Just wanted to bring to
your attention, no big deal. If any more questions exist, please ask.
