Hi again... A manual ALSA update did solve the question. A brief summary of what I did:
- Manually installed last version of ALSA using this tutorial (merci, Stéphane): http://monespaceperso.org/blog-en/2010/05/02/upgrade-alsa-1-0-23-on- ubuntu-lucid-lynx-10-04/ - Manually routed PulseAudio output to the HDMI ALSA device - Manually changed alsamixer switches so that all SPDIF devices are unmuted via alsamixer However every time I reboot my computer, alsamixer settings are lost. I have tried both > alsactl store 0 and > sudo alsactl store 0 ...but nonetheless I still have to run alsamixer and unmute all devices... Will try to handle this with some more patience. However I still think there's something to be done with this thing. Thank you anyway! I couldn't have done this without your help. -- no sound MCP73 hdmi port ubuntu 10.04 lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/635391 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
