I doubt it, after beta, hardly anything gets in, even though it looks promising. :) I did the following to download the firmware: - Unplugged my usb stick (TP-LINK TL-WN821N) - Executed: cd /lib/firmware/ sudo wget http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/chr/carl9170/fw/1.8.8.2/carl9170-1.fw I don't think the following step is necessary, but I also updated to the latest bleeding edge driver. It has to be extracted and compiled. Follow the details in README file: http://wireless.kernel.org/download/compat-wireless-2.6/compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2 You need build-essential debian package installed before you proceed. More or less, after extracting the archive file, the commands I used were: ./scripts/driver-select ./scripts/driver-select atheros make sudo make install sudo make unload sudo modprobe carl9170 -- ar9170usb wifi module crash + instabile connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540827 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
