I can confirm this bug.

If you look carefully to the top of the picture I posted, you will see a
blue bar between menu bar of Firefox and the top panel of XFCE. That
blue bar is the desktop, in fact.

The same happens in CyrusCT screenshot, but he has the XFCE panel at
right and the gap on the top (he has a black desktop background).

I've tested changing the theme and the windows decorations to no avail.
:(

It seems to be related to the way XFCE paints the window decorations.
