Hi Chris, thanks for your report. So, I was not able to reproduce this
issue myself. Are you still encountering this problem or is it now
resolved?
I followed these steps:
1. Open Software Center, choose "Edit->Software Sources..." and uncheck the
"Community-maintained Open Source software (universe)" checkbox.
2. Click "Close" in the dialog. The "In Progress" item appears in the left
pane.
3. Wait for the "In Progress" item to complete.
4. Navigate to the "Calibre" details page.
5. Click the "Use This Source" button.
6. Enter your password in the dialog if required.
7. The "In Progress" item appears in the left pane.
8. When the "In Progress" item disappears, the Calibre details page should be
updated and the button should not say "Install".
9. At this point Calibre can be installed.
If you are still seing this problem, please launch software-center from
the command line and let me know if your steps (or results) differ from
mine. Also, please post cut and paste the command line output if you do
still see the problem.
Thanks!
