I was using deluge (deluged and deluge-web) a lot in ubuntu 10.04 with
no problems. A few days ago I upgraded to 10.10 beta and the computer
started running incredibly slowly. It turns out that the deluged
process was huge.

Adding the deluge-team/ppa PPA, replacing 'maverick' with 'lucid'
(because there seems to be no maverick repo there) and running this has
fixed the problem:

sudo apt-get install deluge-
common=1.2.3+git20100701.131af5a-2~lucid~ppa1
deluged=1.2.3+git20100701.131af5a-2~lucid~ppa1 deluge-
web=1.2.3+git20100701.131af5a-2~lucid~ppa1

The deluged process is now back to a comfortable 70MB instead of a
crippling 700MB.
