I do not have access to my kern.log at the moment, but apport was the
first one to crash. I shall post it later today. After verification, I
only had one corrupt package, update-manager-core, which had been
updated. Could it be possible that updating this package has caused the
update-manager itself to fail, which lead to a kernel panic? I don't
know if that makes sense as my knowledge in that area is limited, but it
is not the first time this has happen to me. There was an update with
update-manager-core some time ago and it did something similar, but I
did not have time to report it.
