if people experiencing the problem can install those and test that would be great. After installing it you need to kill polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 If you can still reproduce then please kill polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 again, and strace it as you reproduce. In order to strace it properly you will temporarily make strace setuid.
