Same problem here, running on nvidia TI 4200 9631 binary driver. Originally I
had no problems, but through endless tweaking I managed to activate this
feature.
For me disabling Mipmap option in the Desktop plugin for compiz helped.
Open gconf-editor
select Apps --> Compiz ---> Plugins ---> Decoration ---> All Screens --->
Options
deselect MipMap.
Like I said seems to help me. Hope this helps others.
