Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vino

After update to Beta Version of Ubuntu (Meerkat) VNC no longer works
from OS X Snow Leopard. Screen sharing worked fine with earlier
versions of Ubuntu, and I've made no changes to the Mac. At the VNC
command (vnc://ubuntumachine.local) the Mac screen shows 'Contacting
"ubuntumachine.local"' and the Ubuntu screen shows message stating that
another user is controlling the machine. However, the connection never
completes. Screen sharing does not work.

1) Ubuntu release 10.10 and Gnome
2) Vino version installed :2.31.91-0ubuntu2
                         candidate: 2.32.0-0ubuntu1
3) Expected screen sharing to complete
4) Screen sharing started but did not complete
