Hi, I'm the upstream maintainer of the ps.map program in question. While I don't claim the program is completely bug free, in general it writes very clean PostScript and there isn't enough info in the bug report to reproduce it. Anyway GRASS 6.2.3 is years old, and thousands of bugs have been fixed in the current 6.4.0 line since then.
