Confirm on my Acer Aspire 5553G; Fan always on no matter what the temperature is. It's a brand new computer.
Also I've read on other posts/bugs that the ATI fglrx driver helped (I have an ATI HD5470) but it made no difference with me. Running Lucid 2.6.32-25 64bit. The fan is on from the moment the computer is started in the morning, even when CPU temp is below 45C....
