For scanning please open a separate bug on the SANE package.
It seems that the automatically selected driver is not compatible with
your printer. Can you try to find a better driver manually? Start sytem-
config-printer (System -> Administration -> Printing), right-click your
printer's icon, click "Properties" in the pop-up menu. In the dialog
click "Change" in the Make/Model line. Now choose similar PIXMA MP...
models with "CUPS + Gutenprint" driver. Please tell whether this helps
and which model works best.
