A way to combine the rm and ln is to execute: sudo ln -s -f /etc/lxdm/default.conf /etc/alternatives/lxdm.conf I tried this.
How can I tell if the problem is resolved. I see that the latest problem report mentioned that lxdm is not a ubuntu package. --glenn On Sat, Oct 2, 2010 at 00:22, Oliver Schonrock <[email protected]>wrote: > i followed the tip from > [email protected] > > sudo ln -s /etc/lxdm/default.conf /etc/alternatives/lxdm.conf > > but I had to > > sudo /etc/alternatives/lxdm.conf > > first > > then worked fine > > -- > package lxdm 0.2.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: > subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/616188 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > -- package lxdm 0.2.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/616188 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
