Public bug reported: dragging an url from address bar (select the "button" containing "launchpad.net" located on the left off the full url of this bug report for example) and dropping it on the desktop or any folder generally (but not always) result in downloading the html content in a text/html file type named "+filebug" for this example. instead of a link to the url.
- removing the file and repeating the same action give the same result - leaving the previously downloaded file and repeating the same action create a correct [Desktop Entry] - if the file downloaded at first has a .jsp extension, then repeating the action result in downloading and replacing the text/html file. I have the same behavior on a laptop and a desktop PC Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Release: 10.04 Installed packages listed by synaptic with "firefox" entered in "quick search" : firefox 3.6.10+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 ubufox 0.9~rc2-0ubuntu2.1 firefox-branding 3.6.10+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 firefox-gnome-support 3.6.10+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 flashplugin-installer 10.1.85.3ubuntu0.10.04.1 totem-mozilla 2.30.2-0ubuntu1 xulrunner-1.9.2 1.9.2.10+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Drag and drop url from mozilla address bar behave inconsistantly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/653610 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
