The sector and block number changed as the loop progressed.

I also tried with the 32 bit version and had the same issue.

I tried out a couple of sanity checks.  I tried a virtual installation 
on another machine with the 64 bit CD, and this booted just fine.

Also, I tried a windows 7 installation CD and it booted just fine.
