Public bug reported:
Until 10.04 plugging in headphones muted the laptop's speakers and
switched over sound to headphone out. Now the sound gets a little
quieter but continues to play from the speakers and the headphones.
I've seen that there are other versions of this bug around but appending
following lines to my alsa-base.conf didn't change anything.
options snd-hda-intel model=toshiba
options snd-hda-intel model=ideapad
Also I've tried enabling the audio-dev ppa and installing the alsa
modules for my kernel but no change.
Ubuntu 10.10, i386
