Using 10.10 RC,
I copied over my apt preferences from Lucid (see attachment). It is used to
prevent installing some packages I don't want.
The problem is that when installing ubuntu-restricted-extras, apt still wants
to install ttf-liberation.
Here's an example of what I have in /etc/apt/preferences:
Package: ttf-liberation
Pin: version 0.0
Pin-Priority: 1001
And here's what I get with apt-cache policy (I remember having the same
output in Lucid):
Pinned packages:
postfix -> (not found)
ttf-liberation -> (not found)
flashplugin-installer -> (not found)
citadel-server -> (not found)
wine -> (not found)
ttf-mscorefonts-installer -> (not found)
flashplugin-nonfree -> (not found)

And what I get with apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras:
