I'm pretty much the noob myself :) > Your patch did prevent gparted from crashing on my setup. > > Thanks for reporting back By the way, the patch in debian seems largely based on the topic branch lucab/btrfs (If I'm not wrong, 'lucab' is Luca Bruno, who seems to be a debian developer). So it might actually be fixed when the patch is regenerated from the topic branch _if_ it had been fixed there. I'm not too sure. Anyways, I cannot really find the 'bigger' bug (with the buf var instead of buf_btrfs) in there anyway, so perhaps there was a manual cherry-pick involved. THe tip of the btrfs branch seems to include the ustring comparison yet, so it is prone to break in the same fashion as the current Ubuntu version. I might check to see whether I can get Luca Bruno in contact directly Cheers, Seth -- gparted crash at start: glibmm-ERROR ** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/617885 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
