** Description changed: Since I update to Maverick my Wifi is unusable (really!) slow. It worked fine on Lucid. I know this might be a wl driver issue, but according the packages.ubuntu.com the driver is the same on Lucid and Maverick. Here what I tried (found in forums): 1. iwconfig eth1 set power off -> improves the situation, but only partly. Without this I get download rates < 10k/s. After this command the download rates (e.g. in ktorrent) steadily change from < 10k/s to > 900k/s *and back*. Up and down the whole time. 2. Recompiling the kernel and without "CONFIG_CFG80211_DEFAULT_PS". -> No change. - This is an unfortunate regression from Lucid and I really hope it can be - fixed. + This is an unfortunate regression from Lucid and I really hope it can be fixed. + --- + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23. + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: rolf 2161 F.... pulseaudio + CRDA: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'NVidia'/'HDA NVidia at 0xdf480000 irq 21' + Mixer name : 'Realtek ALC889A' + Components : 'HDA:10ec0885,106b4600,00100103' + Controls : 36 + Simple ctrls : 20 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=01ed27fe-e3b8-4711-b504-3b4d1f31fa84 + InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Beta amd64 (20100902.1) + MachineType: Apple Inc.
