Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ibus

On Ubuntu 10.10 RC

Currently a user who wishes to write in Japanese or other non-latin
langage will naturally got to the System->Preferences->"Keyboard Input
Methods" menu, but will only find "Chinese", and no possibility to
install another Input Method !

For example, currently to write in Japanese in a non-Japanese system, the user
needs to perform actions which are not intuitive :
1) Go to Language Support and add Japanese Input Method
2) Restart the session (this step is not recommended by any message after step
1)
3) Add the Japanese Input Method in Preferences->Keyboard Input Methods

I suggest :
A) To display a message in "Keyboard Input Methods" in order to explain how to
install a new Input Method (the 3 steps above).
B) OR better : to add an "Install Input Method" button in "Keyboard Input
Methods" that would allow to directly install an Input Method.

** Affects: ibus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
