Thanks for reporting this. I have just tested this and cannot reproduce
the issue. I am streaming from one my machine to another over a local
wifi lan. I used pacmd to setup the stream which in the last step sets
the default sink to be rtp, this will ensure the device which the
indicator-sound controls will be the rtp sink. All working fine. I will
try with pavdevchooser, I suspect the stream you are listening to
switches to the rtp-sink without sending a default sink change signal.
This would cause the bug you have described above which is a known
'feature' of pulse and is certainly not a bug in indicator-sound.
