David thanks very much for the hints. #1 I've tried my best to give a description, but as I've used the term 'weird', Dennis used 'fuzzy'. Although I've made a suggestion about the englisch syntax, sometimes you can't translate weird grammar 1:1 into englisch, it would sound like 'Nautilus will can't handle this kind of places' at best. The german translation sounds like translated with goolge or else btw.
When you run it in a terminal: $ cd user/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/ bash: cd: user/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/: No such file or directory sounds straight forward imho. So regarding userfriendly Nautilus my 2cents would be something like: »Dieser Ort existiert nicht, bitte überprüfen Sie den Pfad.« (oder Pfadeingabe) My translation: The place doesn't exist, please verify the path. or more specific No such file or directory, please verify the path. #2 There were three choices about upstream, such as inserting an url or other upstream project, obviously meant pointing to gnome as it regards nautilus. I know the dialog "Choose another project" but unfortunately it wasn't there.
