Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnash
This is either a bug for flashplugin-installer or gnash; I don't know
which.
On every (flashplugin-installer) package update, my "alternatives"
selections get overwritten into auto mode, which selects gnash.
$ update-alternatives --get-selections|fgrep flash
firefox-flashplugin manual
/var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
iceape-flashplugin manual
/var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
iceweasel-flashplugin manual
/var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
midbrowser-flashplugin manual
/var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
mozilla-flashplugin manual
/var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
xulrunner-addons-flashplugin manual
/var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
xulrunner-flashplugin manual
/var/lib/flashplugin-installer/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
After update (simulated output):
$ update-alternatives --get-selections|fgrep flash
firefox-flashplugin auto /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
iceape-flashplugin auto /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
iceweasel-flashplugin auto /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
midbrowser-flashplugin auto /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
mozilla-flashplugin auto /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
xulrunner-addons-flashplugin auto /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
xulrunner-flashplugin auto /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
Given the frequency of flash updates, this is rather annoying to fix
every time.
