Fpr years I have been able to scan documents from my HP copy scanner,
printer. I feel that I probably hit a button that changed things rather
than the change coming from you. However, I do not know. The larger
window I'm talking about has more options that have to do with color and
contrast, etc. Now, I do not know how to start a scan, save it, or
print it. In a nutshell, the scanner is useless. I need to return to
the old way of scanning.
I do not know anything about the Ubuntu version I am using because my
son installed it and he is not anywhere near me right now.

When I want to use my scanner, i get a different, longer lersion of the
instruction window and i do not get a ploace to click on "scan". Also, the
preview window is different, and I do not get a view of the whole page that i
want to scan. I want to return to the old way.
