Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pm-utils
1)
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04
2)
pm-utils:
Installed: 1.3.0-1ubuntu2
Candidate: 1.3.0-1ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 1.3.0-1ubuntu2 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
1.3.0-1ubuntu1 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages
3)
I expected the computer to suspend when I clicked the "suspend" button
4)
Instead of suspending, the computer only locks the screen. It should be noted
that Ubuntu 9.10 worked perfectly fine on this exact hardware with regards to
suspend.
Attached is my pm-suspend.log after a reboot and attempt at suspending.
There is nothing obvious in there about why the pc won't suspend, it
just appears to decide to Awake immediately after performing the
suspend..
