Hi Dario, No, I am not working on this bug really.. because appmenu is mostly targeted towards netbook UI, monodevelop isn't a high priority for me to fix right now.
I guess what needs to be figured out is to what extent they're still using gtk menu infrastructure and how much they're building on top of it. If too much of the data is kept at the managed layer, there's nothing we can do without modifying monodevelop.
