I copy this comment by Lionel Le Folgoc from https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/656187 : ------------------------ Well, the real bug is in thunar 1.0.x, which doesn't support many uri schemes (such as sftp:// or smb://). That's why gvfs-fuse is needed to workaround that and "mount" the sftp share locally that can be opened by thunar thanks to that.
This will be fixed in thunar 1.2.x. So the dependency on gvfs-fuse for gigolo is not necessary. ------------------------ This is not clear to me : In Thunar 1.0.X, is it a bug or a missing feature ? If it's a missing feature, it won't be changed in xubuntu 10.04, and SMB mounts still won't be possible. And even if Thunar 1.2.x can directly access sftp:// or smb:// adresses, shouldn't Gigolo be corrected independently of Thunar ? Unless this Gigolo feature become pointless with Thunar 1.2.x (?) -- gigolo package is missing Depends: or Recommends: gvfs-fuse https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/596337 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
