This bug is *not* a duplicate of 644452, since it covers fundamentally
different hardware and there does not seem to be wireless available on
your system...
Please, can you run 'apt-cache policy network-manager-gnome' and confirm
which version of the nm-applet you are running? This sounds like a bug
that was fixed a couple of weeks ago.
