No. I just upgraded my machine to 10.10 beta and then installed the kubuntu- desktop and ubuntu-netbook packages to give them a try.
But I've set my system (synaptic) to not treat recommendations as dependencies, since too many ubuntu packages do recommend to many unnecessary or annoying packages. plasma-widgets-addons is just in the recommendations list of kubuntu- desktop, so it was not pulled in automatically.
