Jon,

I think my bug is a dupe of this one.  I noticed that the upgrading info
/ release notes warned about release candidate status prior to
installation failing, but they presented mature documentation when
installation proceeded (which it is doing now).  I wonder whether some
of the mirrors are taking a bit longer to refresh, or my CDROM was from
a slightly old torrent?
