I can confirm the bug, but i doubt it is an xorg issue. I am using a "Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600" and pressing on the "volume up/down special-key", the "play-key" or the "calculator-key" causes some kind of grabbing, so the left mouse button stops working. Unpluging the keyboard and repluging it again gets the mouse back to work again. Some other people seem to have observed the problem to: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1585426 There the same behaviour is also described for a Microsoft Digital Multimedia Keyboard 3000 when hitting F2 .
