Public bug reported:
I am using Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit desktop.
The network-manager-gnome package is version
0.8.1+git.20100809t190028.290dc70-0ubuntu3 (maverick).
I configured a new wireless network via the applet. Instead of
connecting me to the wireless network, the applet crashed.
Things to note: the applet wasn't showing my wireless device and wasn't
offering me a choice of wireless networks to which I could connect. The
dmesg output (which I believe is attached here) shows that I do have a
USB-based wireless device but for whatever reason the applet didn't seem
to see it.
This probably won't help, but "it worked under lucid". :-)
If there is anything else I can do to help triage this bug, please do
not hesitate to ask. Thanks!
Jack.
