Hello Fabio,
Thanks for the support. Have menus in place so tried "apport" in a
terminal window but made no progress. (It seems that I should put in a
report number - not the bug number, which I cannot find)
Also tried sudo apt-get clean but I still get the same result.

after package informatiion was updated 'ubuntu-minimal' package can not be
found anymore
