from #539515; I'm not a dev but logically thinking I ask myself though -
would it be possible to put a timer of, say of 3-4 seconds (which is
probably quite reasonable) to wait for an answer (iterations) on the
call to the floppy device and based on the y or n received to
configure/not configure the  the device ?
