** Description changed: Binary package hint: unity unity (0.2.46-0ubuntu5) maverick-proposed; urgency=low * debian/control: - Readd netbook-launcher transitional package, this is needed for people not - having ubuntu-netbook on dist-upgrade to get transition to unity. - (LP: #657838) + having ubuntu-netbook on dist-upgrade to get transitionned to unity. + (LP: #657838) Test case: be on an UNE install with lucid, try to update to maverick with maverick-proposed pocket enabled. On reboot, you should have unity installed in the UNE session. ----------- After upgrading from 10.04 UNE to 10.10, Unity is not loaded. All that I can see is the wallpaper, no icons, no interface. I just can shut down by pressing power button. I start Unity from the gdm-login via the session selector. If I choose the desktop version, it works. If I choose the Netbook 2D version, it works. To solve my problem, I have started a desktop version and tape : sudo apt-install unity Now, it works really as it should. I think this is the same as bug 644899 and bug 628828
