Thanks for the logs! Seems there is everythign alright with kernel,
udev, and udisks. Please install the "gvfs-bin" package.
Please insert a DVD and eject it again, so that you are in the situation
after which CDs aren't recognized any more. Now do
gvfs-mount -li
and copy&paste the output. Now do
gvfs-mount -oi
and insert the DVD again. Wait some 10 seconds, then press Control-C,
and copy&paste the entire output.
After that, does the DVD get mounted if you do
udisks --mount /dev/sr0
(please copy&paste the entire output).
