Public bug reported:
I had attempted to completely remove all the dkms packages. During the
same session of Synaptic package manager, I chose to upgrade to 10.10
from 10.04.1. When I rebooted, I couldn't load 2.6.35-22-generic, so I
rebooted and loaded the 2.6.32-23-generic kernel, which seems to be the
only kernel which will load. When I did load 2.6.32-23-generic, I
received an error message that the oss4-dkms package failed to install.
