Please remove any model references in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf,
and update your alsa drivers as outlined here:

report back as to whether you get sound.
Whilst the model option you used may have worked, I don't believe it is
the correct model for a laptop, since the model you used is generally
used for a desktop, with 6 stereo jacks, and digital input/output
connectors. It seems that your laptop already has a model reference in
the code, but according to you, it doesn't work. Hopefully the latest
driver code may have a fix.
