Binary package hint: kile
Ubuntu had standardized error reports using apport.
I installed Kile as Ubuntu package.
Kile got a SIGSEGV, and then generated a rather user-unfriendly pop-up asking
to report the bug at KDE.
I rather had apport kick in: more information is collected, and most is done
automatically.
