Binary package hint: xorg
I boot the live environment from an USB stick, using the
ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso
The desktop comes up in 1024x768 instead of the monitor resolution of
1680x1050.
The Monitor Preferences offes only these 3 resolutions:
1024x768
800x600
640x480
Hopefully the attached logs&co tell all the needed information.
The HW is a Toshiba L500-13T laptop, having a ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD
4570
