I upgraded hplip to 3.10.9 with Device Manager Version 15,0 (QT4) and same behaviour occurs. After reboot hp-scan hangs at Opening connection to device...and xsane dies with the same message. Same behaviour after reinstalling the plugin, only now hp-scan dies after a minute with the message in red error: SANE: Error during device I/O (code=9)
