Public bug reported:
Release: Ubuntu Maverick 64-bit
The "Print to file"-option in Gnome's print dialog doesn't allow the
filename to contain a colon (":") (semicolon works fine).
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open a file in gedit (or a webpage in Chromium)
2) Hit CTRL+P
3) Select "Print to file"
4) Type a filename with a ":", e.g. "Test: Colon.pdf"
5) Select output folder, e.g. "Desktop"
6) Print
Expected result:
The PDF-file should be created in the selected folder.
Actual result (gedit):
Printing fails with the following error:
"Error printing
The specified location is not supported"
Actual result (Chromium):
Printing fails silently, with no warning.
