The installation with the deb backend for smart doesn't work, because
PackageKit doesn't set PATH.
- STDERR: dpkg: error: PATH is not set.
It works with the rpm backend, since that uses the python module rather than
the shell command...
Fix: os.putenv("PATH",
"/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin")
