Just reproduced the problem with your last kernel (2.6.35-23). You'll find attached the /var/log/messages since the reboot. I started the computer with the FreeRunner unplugged, waited around 2 minutes, then plugged it : that's all. I'm connected through an USB hub : maybe you would want me to try without the hub?
