Hello,
now I've made a test and have a question for you.
Firstly, the test.
----------------------------------------------------
Ubuntu 10.10, all updates installed
One session=from turning on, till turning of the computer
Numbers - times of closing-opening laptop, or simply times of testing the bug
First times from other ones in the same session are different because in the
second ones music were plying when closing the laptop. However, playing music
has no impact.
The first test (session)
1-ok
2-ok
3-ok
4-ok
5-ok
music playing
6-ok
7-ok
8-ok
9-ok
10-ok
The second test (session) - no sleep indication, something fails, but when you
open laptop you get basicly the same view as when unlocking locked computer,
only the mobile 3d internet is turned off as after sleep; everything is ok
1- almost ok (like lock scr, not sleep)
2- almost ok (like lock scr, not sleep)
3- same result
4- same result
5- same result
music playing
6- closed->stop playing->pause->continues playing->opened laptop->ok
7- same result
The third test (session)
1-ok
2-ok
3-ok
music playing
4-ok
5-ok
------------------------------------------------------------------------
So now closing laptop worked fine except the second session, but I don't know
why. However, everything is getting better and better (see the results of the
test with 10.04). :)
So I have a question: what to do for me with this bug and should I create
another bug because of the test results of the second session? Now that what
happens is not what I've written in the bug description some months ago. Maybe
everything is as good as the bug should be deleted?
I had problems with closing the laptop with windows vista (problems with
display after opening closed laptop), but everything was fixed in
windows 7. Now I see that the problem is leaving Linux too. :)
Thanks for everyone who makes Ubuntu better! The today's test results
amazed me :))
